Everyone likes a trip to the theatre as well as supporting charities, so what better way than to combine the two things at a Charity Theatre night?
The Priory Theatre is a small community-run theatre in Kenilworth, Warwickshire which produces its own in-house shows. As a member, I’ve now run three Priory Theatre Charity Nights in aid of New Futures Nepal, the latest of which was in October 2016 when we staged Noël Coward’s comedy Fallen Angels.
The Priory Theatre is very supportive of charity nights and discounts the entire 120-seat auditorium for the charity to sell tickets to raise hard earned funds for its cause. For each of our New Future Nepal Charity Nights, which usually include a raffle, supper and a glass of wine, we have raised just over £1000 on each occasion.
For New Futures Nepal, these Charity Nights are a great way of rewarding supporters, spreading the word and keeping fundraising items like “Sponsor a Child” on the agenda.
