Some may wonder “What on earth is Poofest?” and well you might.
In 2010, trying to help a New Futures Trustee raise funds for a trek to Nepal, the village of Pootings thought it would be a great idea to hold a little music festival to help out. The festival title was a bit of a no-brainer!
We had so much fun that we did it in again in 2014 and 2015 for this fabulous charity and the funds we raised have made a significant difference to the children and adults at the Hope Centre and Hornbeam House, and to the hamlet of Pootings. We raised almost £18,000 in total.
Needless to say that the organisers of Poofest are now firm supporters of New Futures Nepal and are fully committed to empowering disadvantaged children and adults of Nepal along with the many other supporters. And guess what? Just like at Poofest, whenever there is a New Futures Nepal event – everyone has an absolute ball, whilst helping to make a difference.
