Mandala House Project Update 1

Having gained all required planning permissions and finalising plans and designs, we are now able to commence with the construction and fit-out of Mandala House following the funding and construction timeline.

With the payment for the first stage of the project transferred thanks to your generosity, and following relocation of the guard and his family to the Hope Centre main building, demolition of the old guard-house and clearance of the site could commence mid-March.

Following preparation of the site area, trustees Lynne McCutcheon, Andrew Small, and Alex Maher (who were in Nepal visiting our projects and partners) visited the site for an auspicious blessing of the ground upon which the new Mandala House building will be built. A local priest was welcomed to lead the blessing. In attendance were children and staff of the Hope Centre, trustees of New Futures Nepal, and Nirmala Bhandari of the Nirmala Foundation. House Manager of the Hope Centre Tilak Shrestha was also on hand to play a significant part in the blessing.

We would like to thank you all for your generosity up to this point, and hope you will continue to be the driving force in completing the next stages and bringing the project to fruition. Please continue to donate.
