Take on & enjoy some of England’s finest countryside at your pace. From our convenient Kendal basecamp (with optional camping) the full 100 km route is an anticlockwise loop taking in a few tough hills & fells, Ambleside, Lake Windermere at half way (with hostel accommodation option) nature reserves, and forests – with stunning views en-route – and distance options to suit all adventurers!
Your entry includes a range of free food & drink at regular rest stops, and support from medics, marshals and massage teams. As you cross the finish line, you’ll get a glass of fizz, t-shirt, and a special medal to celebrate your achievement.
Full Challenge – 100 km as a full-on ‘continuous’ challenge. with a Kendal start & finish.
Full ‘Daylight’ – 100 km over 2 days – overnight YMCA Lakeside hostel / B&B option at Windermere half way.
– 1st Half ~50 km taking in Garburn Pass & Ambleside to Windermere Lakeside, with YMCA hostel option.
2nd Half ~50 km from Lakeside & also ideal if you want to join up with a Full Challenge friend.
Lakes Marathon 42 km – New for 2024. Takes in the stunning first quarter, and adds a fantastic loop around Ambleside.
Quarters – if 29 km might suit you – the stunning 1st Quarter goes to Ambleside via the tough Garburn Pass.
Ambleside 10K – a truly fantastic looped route from our major Rest Stop – and perfect if you’re staying near by and want a short / sharp challenge!
