Propensity to migrate also differs between castes in Nepal, with Brahman and Chhetri groups displaying a reduction in migration, while Magar, Tamang, and Tharu groups show an increase in mobility. As well as this, 2.4% of recent migrants have a disability, suggesting that disability services and accessible job availability are also factors possibly driving the migration of individuals with disabilities (National Statistics Office, 2025).
