Take a look at the first of a periodical series of fundraising guides for generating funds for our projects.

With the launch of our new supported-living building project, we hope you will join us in an exerted fundraising effort. Over the next few months we will be sharing some potential money-making activities with you to help give you some ideas for your own fundraising.

So without further ado, here is a rundown of our first set of suggestions.

Restaurant or Wine-Tasting Evening.

Have a local Nepali restaurant? Why not have a chat with them about the possibility of booking out the venue and hosting a charity fundraiser? These evenings make excellent platforms to tell people about the charity and create more supporters. Wine-tasting evenings are similarly great ‘support generators’ and can even be hosted in your own home.

Challenge Events.

With the help of our partners, there are many challenge walks and runs for you to choose from throughout the year. You can dedicate your fundraising to our current building project. Just head on over to our event page to find your perfect event and let us know that you would like to commit your fundraising to our target for this project. You could even commit to a tandem skydive by heading over to GoSkyDive and booking your jump.

Music Evening.

Play in a band, group, or orchestra, or sing in a choir? Why not see if they are willing to put on a charity evening to raise money for this unique project?

A Presentation at your Club, Organisation, or Company.

Are you a member of a club or organisation, or do you work for a company that sets aside funds for charitable activities, that may be in a position to support this cause? Why not organise a presentation of this unique project to develop their interest? We can provide you with all the information and material you may require to put together a convincing presentation. Just contact us and we will do what we can to help.

Coffee Morning or Bake Sale.

Coffee mornings and bake sales make wonderful relaxed settings in which to tell people about the charity and our recent projects. These can be held at your place of work, community venue, or even in your home.

Film Showing.

At £50, a London Mountain Film Festivial community pass allows you to put on your own mini film-festival between 23rd February and 10th March 2024. If you have access to a community space, you could charge attendees an entrance fee to generate fundraising for our project. Passes can be purchased at londonmountainfestival.com, or if you would like help organising your film showing, please get in touch.

We hope these ideas have given you some motivation to start generating funds for our new project. If you would like any help or advice for your fundraising, please do get in contact by emailing us.
